The hunger game - Final Blog

Now that I finished the book I can't say anything else than how astonished I am over the end. As I progressed towards the end of the book I got more and more excited, and I couldn't wait for the end, to figure out what finally happened. Catniss and Peta both faught for their lives, and they stood together to the very end, offering to both die for each other. The Capitol was now "defeated", their power was lessened and the districts could finally stand together to fight the opposition forcing them to work, for nothing but the capitols well being.

I never saw this end coming. I was expecting Catniss to win, but I also expected Peta to sacrifice himself for her, or something similar to that. But I was wrong, and I honestly like this ending better. The final fight between the three last standing contestants was exciting from the very first moment, and even though I was laying in bed almost sleeping, I could not put the book away just because I wanted to find out what happened next.

It was a thriller of a book. It constantly made me change the views of the characters, and I never really decided who to cheer for before the end gave me a final answer. It is a book I can recommend to everyone, and it doesn't target a specific group of people, because it plays on both emotions and actions. I can with my hand on my chest say, I love this book, and as it is the second book I have ever finished, I would rank it as number one of the two.

I am Christopher Krohn, and Im loving it.
